EIA Report on New Biofuel Plant Enters a New Phase
Impact assessment report on new biofuel plant gets to the new phase. After fulfilling the task of presenting the Report to the public, this document was presented to all responsible authorities. Since all competent authorities approved the report, now it is transferred to Marijampolė Regional Environmental Protection Department (MREPD).
In accordance with legislation on the planned economic activity, the organiser must carry out the environmental impact assessment programme as well as the environmental impact assessment report on the planned economic activity. The organiser must present the documents to the public for discussions and harmonise them with responsible authorities.
During the latter phase of the evaluation of the report "Swedspan Girių Bizonas" received questions from public and responsible authorities. Marijampolė Public Health Centrerequested to specify the sanitary safety zone. The questions raised by the public were very similar to the ones that were received after presenting Environmental Impact Assessment Programme of New bio-plant.
